My Labyrinth
A blog by Angus. A place where I will document and publish my thoughts and activites. My areas of interest include but are not limited to: Movies, literature, avitation, science fiction, history, computing, cars and motor sports.

I’m going to paraphrase Thoreau here… rather than love, than money, than faith, than fame, than fairness… give me truth.

Fitocracy and Pokemon

After logging todays workout at fitocracy I was treated to a pleasant surprise. Apparently I completed the evolve quest and was congratulated with this message:

From Magikarp to Gyarados. Start in the water for a short swim. Dry yourself off and go for a run; don’t forget to look both ways when crossing streets. Finish out the quest with a set of pull ups. Complete these in one day’s workout.

Well done fitocracy, my day is made.

Journal

I used to keep a journal but I haven’t done anything with it in a while. I looked through it today and it’s mostly boring stuff but I was fond of one entry in particular. 3 days before I left Hay I wrote this. It feels like forever ago.

Wednesday 3rd February 2010:

It appears that the Anderson’s will host a farewell for me this Friday, which is a touching thought. I’ll probably get a send off at Foodworks on that day too, and while deep down I will probably get very emotional I probably won’t show it. I got up early this morning but have wasted most of my time; soon I’ll pack up the laptop and start being productive. Dinner tonight is Chinese at the bowlo with the Walls, a precursor to the farewells at the end of this psychologically intriguing week. A final note, yesterday on deliveries I saw a moving van at our old house which ends the Lang Street chapter.  I’ll miss Hay.
